FASHION WEEK BERLIN: AUGUSTIN TEBOUL A/W15
SOUNDS OF BLACK.
The echo of
nonchalance
sounds like
darkness.
Black, rock n‘ roll, nonchalant, feminine and luxurious is their signature style. The autumn/winter collection of 2015 presented yesterday at Berlin‘s fashion week was no different. As always Augustin Teboul chose to present in an unconventional form – this time part show, part photo exhibition.
Their design process is just as unconventional as their shows. Both Annelie Augustin & Odély Teboul grew up in creative surroundings and they share the passion for working with textiles.
“Being able to create something that takes life with the human body and the use of textile“ seemed to be the best way to express what they want to.
The designers create their pieces with the game “cadavre exquis“, a surrealistic game where you leave space for coincidence and artistic accident.
“That‘s still the way we create; not having too many fixed ideas and let the coincidence surprise us sometimes…“
With this collection the duo envisioned a more wearable collection, a bit less evening wear, that would be elegant but also nonchalant. Throughout their creative process they adjusted and adapted pieces but the vision never changed.
“It‘s black… Merino wool, leather, silk, mesh, embroidery, swarowski elements…“
