Johannes Kuczera is a young photographer from Hamburg, who is taking pictures serious for nearly three years now. He did an apprenticeship in a big german advertising agency and thought about becoming an agent or art buyer but he had to admit to himself, that it felt like running away from the actual challenge of becoming a photographer nowadays.
His inspiration he obtains from daily life, people in general, other photographers, magazines, the internet, foreign countries and cities, light, locations – the list is endless. He also want’s to try on different fields and genres of photography like still-life and motion picture, in the future. Since he is only 21 years old anything goes. In general he’d love to get to know new people who are creating great stuff and are also driven by passion. But his biggest goal right now is to shoot a cover for german Zeit Magazin.
For further projects Johannes decided to stop working on analogue 6×7 format, which he loves for several reasons but in his opinion it’s kinda senseless these days and it really hurts him to admit this. He’ll take it on with digital medium format this year and try to adapt the workflow he’s used to. In genreal he’d love to see himself continuing working with interesting people on interesting projects, no matter where.
“The main thing is to stay hungry.”
His morning starts with a cup of coffee, while checking his mails and updating his blog, which works as an mood board for him.
