It’s finally open, the largest store to date from ACNE. Located in downtown L.A, in the Eastern Columbia Building. This iconic Art Deco building was designed by Claud Beelman in 1930 and is located on South Broadway in the old theatre district and considered as one of the greatest surviving examples of Art Deco Artchitecture in the city.
The new store offers over 5’000 sqf of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, denim and accessories and an in-store coffee-shop. Not just any coffeeshop, but the favourite coffeeshop of ACNE

“It wasn’t our original intention to open in this part of Los Angeles, but we fell in love with the Eastern Columbia Building as well as the opportunity to do something beyond a flagship store. We feel that there is something vibrant and interesting going on in Downtown L.A., and we are excited to become a part of this transformation”, says Mikael Schiller, Acne Studios Chairman.
The Eastern Columbia Building store is the latest example of the new Acne Studios store design concept, with its pink terrazzo flooring and contrasting clear blue carpets, perforated aluminum structures and Acne Studios designed furniture. The store also features the “Giant triple mushroom” – an installation by Belgian artist Carsten Höller who resides in Sweden and is a friend of the brand – and a dedicated area for private shopping appointments for those who needs more time and advise.
